The ninth stop of the LIV 2025 golf calendar brought the tour to the Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, where the main story will be Bryson Dechambeau who seeks to win in his home event. Last year, Maridoe welcomed the team championship (won by Ripper GC), but this year, he is part of the half-season rotation.
Dechambeau went to school at the bottom of the road to SMU and is the co-favorite that enters the Dallas alongside Jon Rahm (5-1 by BETMGM). Dechambeau already has a victory this season (Korea) and is second on the list of points behind Joaquin Niemann, who fled with the crown throughout the season thanks to his four victories in eight events. Niemann (7-1) is close behind Dechambeau and Rahm for the favorite status in Dallas.
Rahm is third on the list of points, because he was regularly a top 10 since he joined Liv, but he has not yet won a victory on the tour and will seek to win his first victory in Liv in Maridoe. Rahm’s teammate on Legion XIII, Tyrrell Hatton (17/2), is fourth on the dimension sheet, while he leaves a major career place at the US Open. However, although Hatton has become a regular interpreter in the majors, he has only two top 10 this year in eight departures on Liv and hopes to take over this omino from Oakmont in Dallas.
As is the case right now on the PGA Tour, an underlying pressure on the players at the moment is the push of the position of Ryder Cup. Liv players cannot take points, but they can assert their argument for the selection of a captain by always playing a good golf course. Dechambeau will be part of the American team in September, but Patrick Reed and Brooks Koepka should both make major statements over the next two months to obtain a choice of captain of Keegan Bradley.
The European part is a little more troubled because Hatton is currently third in the standings and seems to go to Bethpage Black, but there is still no clarity on the status of RAHM as a choice of potential captain. Sergio Garcia dismissed Ryder Cup’s questions earlier this year saying that he was not worthy of a selection at the moment, but we are approaching the latest chances for players to assert their argument for Captain Luke Donald.

2025 Liv Golf Dallas Field, dimensions
Cotes via BetMGM
- Bryson Dechambeau (5-1): The difficulties of Dechambeau in Oakmont should certainly provide him with a great motivation to try to put this performance backwards with a victory at home in Texas. Maridoe is a long course that should play in his favor, it is only about him by making up the irons that caused him a little problem all year round.
- Jon Rahm (5-1): Rahm will be part of the story on Sunday, because he is still hiding on LIV rankings, but he has not yet obtained one throughout the finish line. He plays the best golf course as we have seen from him since he joined the League, and he could finally take his first individual trophy.
- Joaquin Niemann (7-1): At this stage of the season, it was a reversal of pieces to find out if Niemann will win, and even if it did not translate into the majors, it was incredible in LIV events.
- Tyrrell Hatton (17/2): Hatton will want to overcome the wave of an excellent week in Oakmont and try to roll these good vibrations while he is looking for his second career victory. He is solid in the European race Ryder Cup thanks to his victory in Dubai earlier this year and could make it the best season of his career.
- Carlos Ortiz (14-1): Ortiz had an excellent week in Oakmont and that moved him on the dimension sheet. We will see if he can maintain this form in Texas, because he is also looking for a second career victory.
- Patrick Reed (18-1): If Reed will have a chance to be a captain’s choice for the Ryder Cup that he desperately likes, he will have to finish with a fulfillment. It should start with a solid performance this week and continue outdoors.
- Koepka Brooks (20-1): The same goes for Koepka, who has only a pair of top 10 on Liv this season and seemed to lack a little gas in Oakmont after an excellent start.
- Sebastian Munoz (22-1): Munoz turned the best tour of Maridoe in the team championship (8-mine of 64 years), and he could be a black horse this week as a clearly comfortable person with the course.
2025 Liv Golf Dallas Prédictions
Winner – Jon Rahm (5-1): He tends in the right direction with his game, and at some point, he will launch the door and finally win a Liv event. Rahm obtains this this week and builds a real buzz for the next event in Spain before the open.
Sleeper – Sebastian Munoz (22-1): I do not know how excellent sample size is excellent, but in general, Liv is a visit to the size of the smaller sample. I will ride with the guy who tore this place last year to have another solid week, and it was strong all year round with four top 10 in eight events.
